Thank you all for your comments.
The reincarnation theory sounds logical but it fails the test of scripture. It is appointed unto man to die but once and after that comes judgement. If it were possible for man to atone for his own sins by coming over and over to the world, God would not have opted for the option of giving HIS son to die for man's sins.

Dear brother,
I guess you have it well packaged. Everybody has a mission, in a particular period. What that mission is to you is a function of your evolution and understanding of God. Fro while some take it as suffering some others take it as a challenge. If Adigun's mission was to penetrate the world of humans evne though he was baffled throughout the introduction, it required another person's(Iya Adigun)mission for the accomplishment. Aren't we all interrelated? In her own mission (born, raise and love Adigun)she had to defy the whole world in their conceit and hypocrity. In the mission I must agree is embodied restitution. She was willing, otherwise how many 'fine'children are being thrown away or abandonned on daily basis. Iya Adigun, though not lettered but was spiritually equiped enough not to run away from her KARMA. She took the God given mission as a pleasure. But would all this have tied together in any rational sense without reincarnation? Those who way wont to jeer at Kola for mentioning it should not discriminate when reading the Bible. "For those who wuld believe let them believe" are the words of the MASTER himself...check Mathew, I'm not too good at remembering those areas but it is there!

All these induce deep meditation and you would bear witness to 3 things: 1st, it takes the deep to call to the deep; 2nd,the more you farthom, the more you discover that you are still trying to scratch the surface: 3rd, only those deep enough could catch a glimpse of if there was any iota of similarity between Holy Mary and Poor Iya Adigun. The similarity begings to show if you ask what must have been going on in their minds as they perform their holy assignments. Were both of them not foretold? That I can tell you. Any coincidence then why both of them were called Emanuel? How about the number 40? I mean, 40 days and nights fasting, Israelites 40 years journey, and Adigun lost his body after 40 years. Any ressemblance ? I am not insinuating that the saviour came back as Adigun but who would question him if he choses to do so, so as to administer some tests on the worthy souls. Or am I going bunkers?

Your story has touched me deeply.
I believe we should allow God to work through us, to bless us so we can be a blessing to all around us. As you rightly said, even under our noses there are plenty in dire need.
God bless you for this sermon and may He continue to work through you, AMEN!

Ade,

The article is a reminiscence. I recalled that in my old primary school days, I did come in contact with Late Adigun (an imbecile) then. Remember I attended Nawair-Ud-Deen Primary School in your neighbourhood (and Adigun's). He came to the world just as you rightly described. He saw the world but he was unable to experience it. He was born insane and died insane.

Is this not an opportunity for us to consider believeing that there is reincarnation before resurrection?

Was Adigun not a reincarnated self that came to suffer for some sins he might have committed in his immediate past generation? The sufferings might be his atonement and reparation for those sins. Believe that our memory is so unpardonably short that we may not vividly rememeber what happened some years back talk less of past generations.

Anyway, we did not know if Iya Adigun was blessed with another child.

In all, I appreciate this kind of writeup. It is a direct, local and natural lesson.

Keep it up.

Ade,

Thank you so much for the story. Every day I ask God what my purpose in life is and it has gotten to that point were I have stopped asking. Not because I have an answer but I just got tired of asking. I now believe I was asking the wrong question. I complain and nag about everything from my job to my family and stuff I have no business worrying about. If people like Iya Adigun could love such a child and see him as a gift of God. And live tru life caring for him with the little she had, I have no reason what so ever to wake up in the morning sad and unhappy knowing I have a health and no responsibility. I thank God for such people I beleive God places them on earth to remind us of what is important in life.

I wish I had met her and her son. If anyone deserve a nobel price for love I believe she should and also be canonised as a saint.

Ade,
The last paragraph (not your last question please) summarises my experiences in the last few days.
Many a time we are looking for who to assist in Port Harcourt in Sokoto, Calabar, etc. These people are right under our nose.
I have since changed the tone of my prayer. I am asking God to open my eyes to see and the will and inner strength to help somebody who genuinely needs assistance.
The streets (and God's house) are littered with able bodied, lousy and lazy people who don't deserve even God's compassion.
May the good Lord help us from fake friends.

Uncle,
To God be The Glory. The Lord God that has started the good work will surely complete it.
I have long realised that Gods' delays are not denials! The Lord God will surely see us through whatever situation we are passing through and whatever he has done shall be permanent. Only Him is worthy of all adoration , exhaltation , glorification and all that we can think of for THERE IS NOTHING HE CAN NOT DO.HIS NAME ALONE SHOULD BE MAGNIFIED.FOR HE IS A CONVENANT KEEPING GOD.
