I’ve not had time to post lately because the company I have worked for for seventeen years in Tucson was acquired and the new owners recently announced plans to relocate us to the San Jose area. Each employee has a limited time to decide if we will accept their relocation offer and that means I [...]

I went hiking at Gates Pass in the Tucson Mountains west of downtown Tucson on the weekend. The weather was beautiful, although not too many flowers were out yet at this location.

Three years ago, I bought my first ever vanity license plate for my car. It reads: “SET FREE”.
Set free from what you ask? Well, primarily set free from being obese, but also set free from credit card debt. Basically, in June of 2003 I weighed in at about 390 pounds. Two years later, eating a [...]

We’ve heard a little of the crisis going on in Kenya, but this report from a Seventh Day Adventist university in Kenya really makes it clear how serious the situation is over there. It’s amazing to hear this kind of report from Kenya, which has been one of the more stable African [...]

Yesterday, I talked a little about how our worldview can effect our politics, but our worldview also effects our daily lives. This is because our worldview shapes our attitudes and perspectives on life.
What is your attitude on life?
For me, I think Christians should have a fantastic perspective on life, if only because our God [...]

There are many types of addictions, but in my view, people can be addicted pretty quickly [...]
