Office supplies, love, and little glimpses of grace

by Marcus Goodyear on July 1, 2009

I wouldn’t really recommend that we all misuse office supplies (and time!) like this. But I appreciate the sentiment of loving someone with the tools of our everyday work. There is grace and love all around us, and the world can seem like a magical place again when we remember to look in the right way.

Well, I’m guessing it’s Post-It sponsored and they would LOVE for us to misuse them like this.

My favorite… sun on the window and speech bubble in the…

All around, very sweet indeed.

Post-It might like us to misuse them, but the folks who stock that supplies closet wouldn’t.

I’m curious if it is Post-It sponsored or not. At any rate, I’m reminded of the story of Post-It notes. Howard Butt tells it pretty well in this audio Can You Compete with Free?

Great video. Too bad she couldn’t see herself holding the flowers.

We used to have a Random Acts of Kindness Week at Gannon U. I’d go around and tell folks about it (not very random) and then ask them to commit to surprising someone or some department with love during a certain week in the Spring. It worked and turned out to be like blooms all over campus.

True, nAncY, that’s why the inventor of Post-Its had such a problem on his hands. He had invented unsticky glue. But he turned that into something fantastic.

This is actually a really good clip – I love the background music.

The good thing about this clip is that they didnt write on them which means these post it notes didn’t go entirley to waste -in fact they had a dual purpose! To help express themselves and then after use as regular post it notes. : P

it would be interesting to know how many inventions came about as mistakes, according to the plan of the inventor.
