In an interview on NPR’s Morning Edition today, Richard Land, public policy honcho for the Southern Baptist Convention, got off a pretty good line. The only thing that spoiled it was his delivery: clearly a man used to adoring chuckles for any witticism he might happen to toss off. Nevertheless:
Senator Clinton is trying to conduct a job interview; Obama is on a date.
As Jeeves used to say, “Rem acu tetigisti.”
