A Different Street

I don’t know about you, but the news has struck me very heavily the last week or so. If you wanted data to support a thesis that America is circling the drain, there it was in abundance.

So, ’cause I got nothing else, here’s a good story about some baby ducklings. With pix!

In his disbelief Joel watched as the first fuzzy newborn toddled to the edge and astonishingly leapt into thin air, crashing onto the cement below. He couldn’t watch how this might play out. He dashed out of his office and ran down the stairs [to] the sidewalk [...] As the second one took the plunge, Joel jumped forward and caught it with his bare hands before it hit the cement.
